XIX Brewing Co

XIX Brewing Company calls itself the first brewery and taproom in Vermillion. Co-owner Ed Gerrish spent 17 years homebrewing before opening the brewery, where he oversees brewing and finances. Co-owner Katey Ulrich, a fan of Vermillion and the Coyotes, manages the taproom and marketing. Head brewer Mike Markham began homebrewing while in the Navy. He joined large San Diego craft breweries in 2014 and spent nine years honing his craft, and he enjoys brewing a wide range of styles on the belief that there is a beer for everyone. The owners say they love both Vermillion and beer, and they set out to create a place to enjoy good beer and good company. The XIX Kitchen menu, created by head chef Cayla Dallen, is designed to pair with the beer. The taproom is dog-friendly, hosts weekly events and sells seasonal merchandise in person and online.
