Fernson Brewing Co – Fernson On 8th Taproom

Fernson Brewing Company is a Sioux Falls brewery founded by Derek Fernholz and Blake Thompson, who serve as co-CEOs, with Thompson also leading the brewhouse. The brewery says it has always cared about the stories that surround beer, from a trip to Germany to the history of the IPA to a dad’s tall tales. Its beer is made in South Dakota. Its philosophy is that despite the wide-open spaces of the Great Plains, beer can bring people closer together. The downtown location combines a coffeehouse, taproom and kitchen, serving coffee and what the brewery calls Totally Rad Eats alongside its beers. The company also makes Skip Day Hard Seltzer. Beer is available to go at the taproom, and carryout orders can be placed online. Fernson’s beer is also distributed beyond its taprooms, and a beer finder shows where to buy it.
