Covert Artisan Ales

Covert Artisan Ales is a Sioux Falls craft brewery and taproom owned by veterans. It was started by Dan and Stacey, a husband and wife, who say their years of service taught them that good results come from discipline, preparation and a trusted team. Dan runs the brewhouse, and Stacey handles everything else it takes to run the business. The name refers to the idea that the most interesting work happens out of sight, as beers age in tanks and barrels and recipes are refined until they are right. Its taps cover traditional lagers, hazy IPAs and imperial ales, plus fruited sours, gluten-free beer and barrel-aged ales. Covert also aims to be a neighborhood gathering place. It hosts a book club that reads banned books and keeps a secret menu for guests who know to ask. Items from its store can be ordered online for pickup at the taproom.
